Welcome to Scotch's literacy blog! For years I've dreamed about and planned what I would do when I someday became a reading consultant. Starting a blog was one of those ideas. So, today's the day I stop talking and thinking about it and start blogging!
I hope Scotch Literacy Matters will inspire and inform educators at Scotch and beyond. For now, I'm planning a couple recurring weekly posts like "Walk-Through Wednesdays" which will give you a virtual glimpse into the rich literacy environments around our school. The truth is, I'm not quite sure what this blog will become but I hope it will make us feel more connected and motivated to do what's best for kids.
